Deputy Planning Manager – Manufacturing

Milton Keynes (MK10) – Site Based

Monday to Friday (7am – 4pm)

Purpose

To provide bottle requirements to production and to issue the necessary information to ensure forward planning of production and meeting customers' requirements. Role goal is to ensure that there is a continuous supply of product available to customers.

Production Planning Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • Develop, update, and monitor the production plan to ensure customer requirements are met as required.
  • Involvement in assessing stock levels and production performance.
  • Provide stock lists to customers as required
  • Monitoring and maintaining production figures
  • Compiling and monitoring Excel delivery schedules
  • Invoice of delivery notes and ensure all products are invoiced correctly.
  • Credit notes and credit note log completed in line for month end requirements
  • Liaising with Production Manager / Supervisors for production requirements / priorities.
  • Liaising with Warehouse / transport company for deliveries / discrepancies.

Following a comprehensive training programme, you will also have the below Planning Manager responsibilities;

Planning Manager Responsibilities (not limited to)

  • To oversee and assist the Production Planners in daily operations to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing in the plant.
  • Liaise with customers and visit or attend meetings with customers where required.
  • Monitor production.
  • Monitor suppliers' performance
  • Forecasting of and ordering of Materials
  • Locate and negotiate with new suppliers
  • Cost saving initiatives

What makes you great

Education / Experience:

  • Ideally will hold bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum 3 – 5 years' experience in planning role (production planning, materials planning in a fast paced manufacturing environment)
  • Advantageous, will have exposure to; Plastic manufacturing or packaging industries AND/OR Injection moulding, blow moulding, or extrusion processes
  • Project Management
  • Analytical abilities
  • Excellent communication verbal and written
  • Leadership qualities
