
Engineering Manager Southeast Asia and new APAC Countries
What you will enjoy doing
In this role, you will be responsible for a professional and well performing Project Management within the APAC region. This includes the following responsibilities:
- Lead and manage regional plant engineering tasks (water, air, electricity, and building), including topics related to decoration, automation, and downstream equipment. Supplier management, service, and maintenance contracts, including warranties, are integral parts of the responsibility.
- Responsible for the planning, realizing, and controlling greenfield plant build-ups and plant adaptations in APAC region.
- Direct and control plant engineering projects focusing on construction management of new manufacturing plants and/or plant extensions.
- Evaluate, study, and discuss requests for plant engineering improvement projects or plant engineering-related requirements from stakeholders.
- Ensure the safety and quality of all buildings and infrastructure of production facilities for plastic processing prior to acceptance and hand-over to respective plants.
- Act as the company's expert and main support on Engineering Project Management, from coordination of planning permissions and timeline with the project team, design/layout (CAD) of HVAC, chilled water systems, compressed dry air systems, power supply distribution systems, design of downstream processes, negotiation, and preparation of related contracts together with Purchasing, to compilation of infrastructure documentation and maintenance plans.
- Provide expert advice and control in maintenance costs of air compressors, chillers, transformers, MDB, cooling towers, and water treatment; mainly responsible for energy management in the region, including but not limited to plant audits in terms of energy-saving potentials and initiating improvements and support in terms of QMS certifications.
- Communicate any impact on planning with related departments.

Education/Experience:
- University Degree or master's degree in engineering
- Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Systems, etc.
- Engineering Project Managerial Experience
- Minimum of 8 years in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
- Knowledgeable in handling various management functions, especially the 4Ms of management (Man, Machine, Methods, and Materials).
- Project Management Experience from start to finish, physically been part of the design and installation of infrastructure equipment.
- Technical Experience
- HVAC, chilled water systems, compressed dry air systems, low voltage electrical power, site management, and installation management.
- Exposure to machine operation, maintenance, and process troubleshooting in SBM/IM/EBM and plastic packaging downstream machines.
